Reflecting on the Lessons That Shaped My Voice

Reflecting on the Lessons That Shaped My Voice

Writing for magazines like Canvas Rebel is always such a gift because it gives me a chance to pause and reflect on my journey, the lessons I’ve learned, and the moments that truly defined who I’ve become.

In the interview, I share how my path began with a deep desire to be heard and how that led me to study psychology, voice coaching, and public relations. Over time, those threads wove together into the intuitive mentoring and voice work I do today—helping ambitious women express themselves with confidence, especially when they’ve spent years feeling like they’re either “too much” or “not enough.”

As I revisited my story, I realized how much of growth isn’t just about learning—it’s about unlearning. I spoke about the beliefs I inherited from my family, like the idea that music wasn’t a “practical” career, and how those limitations once held me back. But those very moments of resistance became powerful teachers. They showed me what mattered most to me and reminded me that discouragement can sometimes point us straight toward our deepest passions.

I also opened up about a pivotal time in London—when everything seemed to fall apart—and how that breakdown became a breakthrough. It was then that I stopped trying to force outcomes and started “sowing seeds” for the life I wanted, one step and one act of courage at a time.

Each part of my journey has taught me something essential about voice, resilience, and belonging—and about how vital it is to keep showing up as ourselves, even when life feels uncertain.
