Stop Hiding What Makes You Different
There’s a treasure within you that no one else can uncover.
It’s your particular way of seeing the world. Your experiences, wisdom, intuition, gifts and the way you bring all of those things together.
And yet, the very thing that makes you different may also be the thing you’re most tempted to hide.
You are not here to blend in. You are here to show up.
But what does it really mean to show up authentically?
It may feel more natural to avoid talking about your expertise, soften what you really think, or wait until you feel more confident before putting yourself forward.
The fear is real. It is authentically what you feel in that moment.
But is it the deepest truth of who you are?
Authenticity Doesn’t Mean Letting Fear Make Every Decision
Authenticity is not the absence of fear.
It is being honest enough to recognise your fear without allowing it to speak more loudly than your purpose.
Perhaps you feel afraid to record a video, introduce yourself at a networking event or speak confidently about the transformation you offer.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the action is wrong for you.
It may mean that a more visible version of you is trying to emerge — and part of you doesn’t yet feel safe becoming her.
Your fear may say:
“Who am I to call myself an expert?”
“What if people think I’m becoming too full of myself?”
“What if I put myself forward and no one responds?”
“I don't want to sound pushy.”
“Maybe I need to learn a little more first.”
But beneath that fear, another voice may be whispering:
“I know my work can help people.”
“I want the right clients to find me.”
“I have something important to say.”
“I am ready to make a greater difference.”
Both voices may be authentically present.
The question is: which one represents the woman you are becoming?
What Do You Really Want?
If you are a coach, healer, therapist, intuitive practitioner or heart-centred business owner, you probably didn't start your business simply because you wanted to become good at marketing.
You wanted to help people.
You want your work to matter.
You want the people who genuinely need what you offer to be able to find you.
And perhaps you want a business that gives you:
consistent clients and income
more freedom and spaciousness
confidence in the value of what you offer
stronger boundaries around your time and energy
opportunities to collaborate, teach or speak
the satisfaction of knowing your gifts are being used
You may also have a bigger vision that you don't talk about very often.
A book. A retreat. A programme. A podcast. A stage. A movement.
Something inside you knows there is more.
Why Trying Harder Doesn't Always Work
When we want to grow our businesses, it's tempting to assume that the answer is another strategy.
So we learn how to create Reels.
We rewrite our website.
We download the content calendar.
We study somebody else's launch formula.
We try to find the perfect niche, perfect message, perfect price or perfect way of introducing ourselves.
And none of those things are inherently wrong.
Structure and strategy matter.
But strategy cannot express something you haven't yet given yourself permission to own.
You can have the perfect script and still hesitate before pressing record.
You can understand marketing and still avoid telling people what you really do.
You can know that your prices need to change and still keep lowering them.
You can have wonderful ideas and still leave them sitting in a notebook because you're waiting to feel ready.
And you can spend so much time looking outside yourself for the right answer that you stop hearing the wisdom already inside you.
The problem isn't always that you don't know enough.
Sometimes, you don't yet trust yourself enough to act on what you know.
Learning to Trust Your Voice Changes Everything
This is the belief at the heart of my work:
Learning to trust your voice is the fastest way to uncover who you truly are, stop holding yourself back, and start living a life that's deeply aligned with your values, gifts and dreams.
Because when you learn to trust your voice, you learn to trust yourself.
And I don't mean only your speaking voice.
Your voice includes your:
intuition
ideas
desires
opinions
creativity
values
lived experience
boundaries
literal spoken and singing voice
Your voice is how the person you are on the inside begins to take shape in the outside world.
When you trust it, decisions become clearer.
You stop asking everyone else what they think before listening to yourself.
You become more willing to experiment.
You recover more quickly when something doesn't work.
And instead of trying to become the person you think people will buy from, you become more confident expressing the value of the person you already are.
Sometimes You Have to Move Through Fear to Show Others the Way Forward
If your work helps other people transform, you may have to practise the very courage you invite from your clients.
You may have to trust your own intuition when other people don’t understand your path.
You may have to speak about your gifts before you feel completely comfortable claiming them.
You may have to invest in your business, learn new technology, protect your time or keep your prices consistent even when an older part of you wants to retreat to what feels familiar.
This is not about pretending to be fearless.
It is about becoming grounded enough to let your purpose lead.
Each time you do that, you show your clients what self-trust can look like in real life.
You are no longer simply teaching transformation.
You are embodying it.
Authenticity Is Alignment
Being authentic doesn’t mean sharing everything about yourself or expressing every thought and feeling publicly.
It means allowing your words, voice, values and actions to tell the same story.
If you believe your work creates meaningful change, does the way you speak about it reflect that?
If you encourage your clients to value themselves, do your prices and boundaries honour your own value?
If you help people trust their intuition, are you willing to trust yours when it guides you towards greater visibility?
When these parts of you become aligned, people feel it.
You are no longer performing a polished version of yourself or borrowing language from others in your field.
You are speaking from grounded conviction.
Your authenticity becomes part of your strategy — not because authenticity is a marketing technique, but because it allows the right people to recognise you.
They begin to sense:
“She understands what I’m experiencing.”
“I feel safe with her.”
“She has walked through something herself.”
“She may be able to help me find my way forward.”
What I Do Differently
My work isn't about pushing you to become louder, post more often or manufacture confidence.
And it isn't about throwing strategy away and simply hoping your intuition will figure everything out either.
I believe we need both structure and intuition.
We need practical ways of communicating our ideas — and enough self-trust to bring our own essence to them.
That's why my work begins with the voice.
We look at what happens internally when you are asked to be seen, heard or valued.
Where do you hesitate?
Where do you edit yourself?
Where are you trying to sound like somebody else?
Where does your body tighten when it's time to say what you really think?
And what would you create if you trusted yourself a little more?
We can work with the literal voice through sound, breath and sometimes singing. We can work with your inner voice through reflection, intuition and self-awareness. And we can work with your outer expression by helping you communicate what you know and share it with other people.
Because the inner voice and outer voice belong together.
There Is a Treasure Within You
Beneath the self-doubt, expectations and fear of getting it wrong lies something beautifully untamed your authentic voice.
I think of it as a treasure because no one else can uncover it for you.
Someone can give you a marketing formula.
Someone can tell you what words are trending.
Someone can show you how they built their business.
But nobody else has your exact combination of experiences, wisdom, personality, intuition and gifts.
That's what the right people need to encounter.
Not a more polished imitation of somebody else.
You.
You don’t need to become louder or more impressive.
You need to become more willing to let people see what is already true: you have a particular way of seeing, supporting and guiding others that cannot be replicated by anyone else.
This Is Why I Created RESONATE
RESONATE is a 12-week online group experience for heart-centred business owners who know they have valuable wisdom to share but need support to bring it into the world.
It is a place to rediscover that part of yourself you've perhaps been editing, second-guessing or keeping hidden.
A place to explore your ideas, use your voice, take action and be supported as you become more visible.
Because I don't believe you need someone else to tell you who to become.
I believe there is something within you worth uncovering.
And when you begin to trust your voice, something shifts.
You stop waiting for permission.
You stop needing every step to be certain before you take it.
You begin making choices that reflect your values, gifts and dreams.
And little by little, the person you've sensed within you begins to have a voice in the world.
When you learn to trust your voice, you learn to trust yourself.
If you know there is more within you... more wisdom to share, more creativity to express, more people you could help but you keep hesitating when it's time to bring it into the world, I'd love to talk with you.
Book a discovery call with me and let's explore what's currently holding your voice back and what might become possible when you begin trusting it.
